Standard First Aid (WorkSafeBC Intermediate First Aid) is a comprehensive course that builds on emergency first aid. This course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial such as Worksafe BC Occupational First Aid. This course includes modules covering all aspects of first aid, CPR and AED use. Whether you need training for employment or simply want to be prepared to respond to life-threatening emergencies, this course will give you the skills and knowledge to act with confidence. In addition to the material covered in Emergency First Aid, candidates will learn how to treat head/neck injuries, soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries and medical emergencies.

Heck ya we do! Emergency is WorkSafeBC approved equivalents to Occupational First Aid, and will be accepted as such, we also offer private OFA courses. Reach out via info@firstaidnearme.ca for more info. 

Yes! Of course! Emergency First Aid is WorkSafeBC approved. As a Training Partner and Affiliate of the Red cross and Life Saving Society, we are authorized to issue Basic First Aid equivalents that are accepted by WorkSafeBC.

Absolutely! First Aid Near Me is happy to issue recertifications for any former Red Cross, St John’s Ambulance, Heart and Stroke or Life Saving Society certificate. Please present to your instructor on the day of your course. 

Instructors will issue a temporary certificate immediately after the successful completion of any of our courses. In the following 4-6 weeks, you’ll receive your official certificate via email. 

All of the courses provided by First Aid Near Me are certified through either the Red Cross, Life Saving Society or the Canadian Safety Council (youth courses specifically). FANM is an authorized Training Partner and Affiliate of the Red Cross and the Life Saving Society.

All First Aid Courses are designed for those 13+ years old. Too young for those? We also have the Home Alone Program (10+ years old) and the Babysitting course (12+ years old) available on a regular basis. 

Basic Life Support is a new course that replaces Health Care Provider First Aid. Think of these two as being identical courses just with a new and improved name.Â
